Benefits with the card

Below is a list of partners offering benefits to European Disability Card holders. Would you like to know which benefits they offer? Take a look on their website or contact them directly. We update the list regularly, but some partners may not yet be listed. Moreover, there are also organisations, institutions, etc. that do not use the European Disability Card, but still offer benefits or assistance to people with disabilities. So ask about it when you want to participate in an activity.

  • Brussels Book Fair

Every year, we do our utmost to facilitate access to and movement around the Fair for people with reduced mobility and for people with any kind of disability. We have chosen to invest in a place that is perfectly adapted and very accessible. This year being special because we are on two different sites, we have undertaken the construction of a footbridge which will allow visitors to avoid having to go up and down steps.  The car park is accessible and offers adapted spaces, as close as possible to the entrance. Tiles have been laid to make the ground flat and pleasant for people with mobility difficulties or in wheelchairs. Inside, the aisles have been made wider, to make it more comfortable to walk around. We have a partnership with one of our publishers, Almagic, which provides additional services: the provision of baskets to make it easier to buy books and transport them. They also have people on hand in the car park to help people find their way to the Fair, and wheelchairs are also made available.  Finally, the use of the cloakroom is made free of charge for people with this card.
