Benefits with the card

Below is a list of partners offering benefits to European Disability Card holders. Would you like to know which benefits they offer? Take a look on their website or contact them directly. We update the list regularly, but some partners may not yet be listed. Moreover, there are also organisations, institutions, etc. that do not use the European Disability Card, but still offer benefits or assistance to people with disabilities. So ask about it when you want to participate in an activity.

  • Meise Botanic Garden

    • The history of Meise Botanic Garden goes back more than 200 years. It is one of the largest botanic gardens in the world: 92 hectares full of plants. In our story, plants play the leading role. There is always something going on in the Botanic Garden, in sunshine or rain. Immerse yourself in the tropics in the Plant Palace, get to know our history in the Castle, or go exploring in the WOODlab...
    • At the entrance, there are parking spaces reserved for visitors with a disability card. The person accompanying someone with a disability has free access. Assistance dogs are welcome everywhere on the grounds and in the buildings.
    • Need a wheelchair or walker? You can borrow it for free at our main entrance. Our electric train covers long distances through the estate and lets you enjoy the most beautiful spots.
    • Next to the cobbled Stately Avenue, a comfort strip has been laid out for wheelchair users and prams. Most paths are paved in dolomite or clinkers. There are wheelchair accessible toilets and changing tables at several points throughout the Botanic Garden.
    • In the WOOD lab there is a lift, so the upper floor can be visited. The ground floor of the Castle can be visited by wheelchair; the upper floors are not wheelchair accessible.
