Below is a list of partners offering benefits to European Disability Card holders. Would you like to know which benefits they offer? Take a look on their website or contact them directly. We update the list regularly, but some partners may not yet be listed. Moreover, there are also organisations, institutions, etc. that do not use the European Disability Card, but still offer benefits or assistance to people with disabilities. So ask about it when you want to participate in an activity.

    From the town of Waregem, we want everyone to feel at home in the town.   • City of Maaseik

    Cultural centre Achterolmen :
    • Companions of EDC cardholders can attend an activity or performance for free.
    • Less mobile people can sit at the front left of the theatre which can be reached without having to take one flight of stairs. 
    Regional Archaeological Museum & the Old Pharmacy:
    • EDC ticket holders get a discount on the entrance price of €1, they pay €5 instead of €6 for a ticket. If a companion is with them, they get free entry. The archaeological museum and the pharmacy museum have been made wheelchair-accessible, in addition there is a wheelchair-accessible toilet and a special lift has been installed so that the discovery cellar is also accessible to everyone.
    Library:
    • EDC cardholders can get books delivered to their homes, this is called 'Bib at home'.
    • The Maaseik library has a wide range of large print books, audio books, reading aids and a daisy-key device. A daisy-touch is a playback device for recorded books.
    Sports:

  • Municipality of Puurs-Sint-Amands

    • Since 1 August 2020, all persons holding an EDC card, as well as persons under the age of 26 and all over-60s, can purchase a leisure pass at a reduced rate. Consequently, they enjoy all the benefits provided in a leisure pass.  This pass is valid for one year. 
    • Since 1 August 2020, individual athletes who hold an EDC card can also receive a 40% discount on renting sports infrastructure. Interested? You can find more info here. Sports clubs doing G-sports can also rent the premises at reduced rates.
