Below is a list of partners offering benefits to European Disability Card holders. Would you like to know which benefits they offer? Take a look on their website or contact them directly. We update the list regularly, but some partners may not yet be listed. Moreover, there are also organisations, institutions, etc. that do not use the European Disability Card, but still offer benefits or assistance to people with disabilities. So ask about it when you want to participate in an activity.

  • Municipality of Heist-op-den-Berg

    Leisure card Heist-op-den-Berg services do not give discounts to people with a European Disability Card. This is because in our municipality we work with the Leisure Card. Persons with a Leisure Card receive an 80% discount on the leisure offer in Heist-op-den-Berg and a 60% discount on out-of-school childcare. Customized offer Tourism
    • Organizes some tourist walks accessible to wheelchairs.
    Sport in gamegd
    • Twice a year, organizes a sporty G-3 day for people with a disability during the Easter holidays and the summer holidays. We tailor the offer as closely as possible to the persons who are registered. In addition, there is of course also the pleasure experience as an end in itself.
    Cultural Center Zwaneberg
    • Organizes the accessible culture project. The sick, the mentally vulnerable, people with disabilities, people in poverty or people without a network can attend a number of selected performances at half the price through accessible culture. They are accompanied by volunteers so they don't have to go alone.
    • Provide audio description or sign language interpreter if feasible.
    • Organizes with the 'free companion' card that people can bring a companion to a performance in the Cultural Center free of charge. This card is issued by NMBS and is for people who cannot use public transport independently.
    Course center
    • Organizes a trip in collaboration with the GAPH (municipal advisory board for people with disabilities) that is accessible to wheelchair users.
    Academy for music, word and dance
    • Organizes an individual trajectory for people with disabilities with an adapted examination programme. These students do sit together with other students when it comes to group lessons.
    Speelpleinwerking
    • Organizes an inclusive playground. Children with disabilities are welcome if the operation can bear this and in consultation with the parents. Trial days are done and the child receives tailor-made guidance where possible. A quiet room has been provided where it is possible for children with a disability (and other children) to relax. In addition, there is a room where it is possible to have nurses come to care for children with specific needs.

  • Provincial Sports and Recreation Centre De Nekker

    You can buy your ticket for our domain of our swimming pool De Nekkerpool with a discount (at the reception or via a discount code that you can request on our website).     Discounted rate on presentation of EDC. Companions of visitors with disabilities get free entry: 1 companion per wheelchair user or 1 companion per 2 visitors with disabilities if they do not use a wheelchair. Technopolis is easily accessible by wheelchair. A ramp is provided to go from the upper to the lower floor and a lift can be used on request.
