Below is a list of partners offering benefits to European Disability Card holders. Would you like to know which benefits they offer? Take a look on their website or contact them directly. We update the list regularly, but some partners may not yet be listed. Moreover, there are also organisations, institutions, etc. that do not use the European Disability Card, but still offer benefits or assistance to people with disabilities. So ask about it when you want to participate in an activity.

  • Kamelego vzw

    Kamelego distributes seven Flemish newspaper titles in audio format every morning. Thanks to the cooperation with Mediahuis, DPG Media, Mediafin and Belga.press, everyone can enjoy the spoken version of De Tijd, De Morgen, De Standaard, Het Belang van Limburg, Gazet van Antwerpen, Het Nieuwsblad and Het Laatste Nieuws. The Daisy format allows you to browse through the Audiokrant in a structured way. In this way, blind and visually impaired people, dyslexics and people with a motor disability have equal, low-threshold access to news and information. If you are a holder of the European Disability Card, you receive a 10 euro discount on an annual subscription.

  • Cultural Centre De Adelberg

    One companion of disabled people, holding a companion pass or European Disability Card, can attend De Adelberg's activities free of charge. Cardholders entitled to these benefits can book their tickets at the ticket desk. If you use a recognised transport company for persons with disabilities to come to the performance, you will receive a 40% discount on their ticket (except for some performances where discounts are limited - these are clearly indicated in the communication) subject to proof of transport.  Examples of these transport companies are Taxi Hendriks, the Minder Mobielen Centrale, ...

  • KBR Museum

    Belgium has been hiding treasure for 600 years Six hundred years ago, the Dukes of Burgundy ruled Brussels. These rich and powerful princes and cultured patrons put together a treasure that still fascinates today: the Librije, a unique and precious collection of illuminated manuscripts. Many of these masterpieces have stood the test of time and can be admired today at the KBR museum. Explore the medieval cultural past of Europe and then admire the beautiful illuminated manuscripts from the ducal library. Although manuscripts are the heart of the museum, the KBR museum is much more than looking at books. After all, there is a lot to experience too!

    • Guidance and support will be provided from the academy to maximise the European Disability Card holder's experience. If necessary, individual guidance can be provided by appointment.
    • The academy will do its utmost to remove all possible physical obstacles in their activities, especially in the academy.
    • Each cardholder can count on free entry for his or her companion. The cardholder should only pay for his or her own admission.
    • For our activities, (in consultation with the cardholder) the most suitable available space at that time will be made available.
    • Finally, all possible efforts will be made to get persons with European Disability Cards to serve as volunteers and/or members of advisory boards.
    • On request, you will receive the overview of services that can be counted on through the European Disability Card. If necessary, the academy of Hemiksem, Schelle and Niel will additionally try to find a tailor-made solution for EDC holders to enjoy the offer.

  • Holebifilmfestival

    The Holebifilmfestival has existed since 2010. The intention of the festival is to bring (good) films or other performances with a holebi or transgender theme to the attention of a wide audience. The festival is certainly a meeting place for LGBT people, but at the same time wants to draw attention to gender diversity in various cities and municipalities throughout Flanders. This gives the LGBT community a face and promotes acceptance and integration. The festival brings people together, touches and moves. We reach the whole of Flanders and Brussels through the press and our own publications (program brochure, website, poster, etc.).
