KMSKA - Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp
At KMSKA, accessibility and inclusivity are a mission. We strive to make sustainable efforts, which is an ongoing commitment, while working on expanding our existing offerings. Be sure to keep an eye on the KMSKA website.
- You can find Radio Bart twice a week in one of the museum halls. It's a small studio where one of our blind hosts invites you to look at a work of art in their place.
- The texts in the museum are short, powerful, and written in clear language, making them easy for newcomers to our super-diverse city to read.
- The museum app offers audio tours that are interesting for visitors who can see the artworks well, as well as for blind or visually impaired visitors. For deaf or hard-of-hearing visitors, the tours are available in Flemish and International Sign Language, so everyone can enjoy them together.
- KMSKA offers guided tours for blind and visually impaired visitors, and tours led by deaf and hard-of-hearing guides.
- The museum also developed a children's trail with ten sculptures, enlargements of details from paintings, offering everyone a sensory experience.
- Elevators take you to all floors, and our reception staff are ready to assist you in the welcome areas.
- If you need assistance, your companion has free access.
- Don’t normally need a wheelchair, but prefer a more comfortable visit with one? No problem, you can borrow one at the museum. We place our paintings as low as possible to reduce reflections for wheelchair users.
- Each exhibition includes accessible scenography.
